Since stepping in to support the delivery of their launch in June 2006, Hern Communications has delivered over 15 events for the NCETM ranging from national conferences for 300 delegates to two-day residential events for influential maths teachers.

Managing the events has included:

• Working with the NCETM team and external stakeholders to develop conference theme and programme
• Identifying and managing appropriate venue
• Researching, inviting and briefing speakers, workshop leaders and exhibitors
• Liaising with the government on ministerial presence, as appropriate
• Developing marketing plan and materials to recruit identified audience groups
• Creating event content for the NCETM portal.

NCETM

Hern Communications has been appointed to develop and deliver national and international conferences for the NCETM. Each event must bring together teachers and managers to explore aspects of continuing professional development, drawing on best practice from practitioners and exploring initiatives created by the government and other mathematics education organisations. In addition each event needs to provide a platform for mathematics education policy.
