- Work with the Nord Anglia team to develop and deliver a marketing plan to promote the SLC to teachers, managers and stakeholders across FE
- Plan content and design, draft and edit the LSIS Teaching and Learnng newsletter
- Draft and design marketing materials to communicate the various aspects of SLC and STEM Programmes
- Identify and utilise communications chanels and activity to target the many, varied groups within the FE sector
- Establish and maintain internal communications across the STEM team and STEM consortium partners: NCETM, RAEng, Science Learning Centre
- Create communications strategy for the STEM Programme
- Promote the government's STEM agenda to FE providers.
Hern Communications was appointed to work both with Nord Anglia and with Tribal in
order to provide coordination across the different LSIS contracts. Nord Anglia was
charged with delivering the overarching Subject Learning Coach Programme (SLC), aimed
at supporting teaching and learning in further education (FE); while Tribal headed
up a consortium to deliver the LSIS STEM Programme, which offered specific, subject-
The LSIS STEM STEM Support for 2011/12 is being coordinated by the National Science Learning Centre and delivered by colleges in each region. Hern Communications is providing support to initiate the marketing activity that needs to be delivered nationally and give the colleges the information and tools to create regional campaigns.
